About Mike and Marti
Want to know who these crazy people are? Here’s a bit of insight as to who we are and why we are that way.
General Family Facts: Originally from the great mid-western state of Indiana. Marti and Mike were born to very young parents and they all grew up together. With little to no adult supervision they were forced to grow up a lot faster than FDA approved. Each experienced feelings of neglect, abandonment, fear and traumas.
As all good Christians thought, in the 80s, the goal was full-time service. So in 1987 the fam moved to Mexico City to be missionaries. It was traumatic, not a cum-by-yah, yea Jesus experience. However, living in another country forged a strong bond between them that was lost when Marti went to college in Southern California and Mike went to Kansas. Their paths didn’t cross much for the next 15 years, except for random holidays. But in 2006 things started to change, they finally began to re-connect at adults and peers not just siblings. Whilst arguing and discussing marriage, the church and failing relationships one day an idea was born, let’s do a podcast. Ok, so Marti came up with the idea and it took about 3 months to convince Mike it was a good idea.
